Ingram Micro associates in Santa Ana, Calif., Indianapolis and Buffalo pause to celebrate and thank veterans for their service and sacrifice
SANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 11, 2014 – Hundreds of military veterans, active-duty service members and retirees were recognized and celebrated today along with family members at the third annual Ingram Micro Veterans Day ceremonies held across three Ingram Micro locations from Santa Ana, California to Indianapolis and Buffalo.
"I'm deeply honored to help celebrate this important day and recognize our veterans and their family members," said Kirk Robinson, senior vice president, Ingram Micro North America Commercial Markets and Global Accounts. "It is my privilege to represent the Ingram Micro associates here in Santa Ana and say thank you for your service to this great nation."
Ingram Micro and its associates collected and donated more than $10,000 to the Veterans 360 organization that helps recently-separated combat veterans transition to civilian life through a program of support that helps them develop professional and interpersonal skills. In addition, a donation of $2,500 was made to fStop Warrior Project, a Tug McGraw Foundation that provides resources and hands-on support for wounded warriors through creative self-expression using the art of digital photography.
Marines from Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton's Wounded Warrior Battalion kicked off the ceremony with a presentation of the national colors followed by the national anthem.
