CLEVELAND, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a recent announcement of Pioneer-Standard's (NASDAQ:PIOS)
equity investment in Magirus AG, the leading computer systems distributor in Europe, Magirus reached an agreement with Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM)
to acquire their Enterprise Systems Group in three European countries.
The latest development will expand the partnership between KeyLink Systems, a Pioneer-Standard Electronics, Inc. company, and Magirus to include the United Kingdom and Belgium. Magirus will concentrate on value-added distribution in eight European countries overall.
The acquisition of the Enterprise Systems Group further solidifies Magirus' intent to focus on the company's core competencies and therefore strengthen its position in the current globalizing economy. Magirus has an extensive product and service portfolio, including partner development programs, consulting, configuration, integration and pre- and post-sales support.
