today announced a worldwide distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM)
, the world's largest wholesale distributor of technology products and services. Under the agreement, Ingram Micro will make available immediately to its broad worldwide customer base Osicom's complete line of remote access products, switches, hubs, network print servers and multi- function servers.
According to John Hwang, president of Osicom's Indirect Sales Channels Division, the initial focus of the agreement will be on promoting Osicom's award-winning NetHopper(TM) Remote Access router and the award-winning ROUTERMate-Plus router because of the high demand in the market for remote network access and switching technologies.
"We are very pleased to have this new partnership with Ingram Micro as they are the undisputed worldwide leader in the wholesale distribution channel," said Hwang. "With the size of the market and the product scope covered by this agreement, we expect to see our revenues through Ingram Micro tripling to an annual rate of $20 million within the next 12 months. Moreover, this agreement complements our distribution agreement with Tech Data Corporation, announced in October 1996, covering the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, and now provides worldwide distribution for all our products."
