Mobility Electronics Announces Product Bundling Agreement With Leading Notebook Manufacturer

Bundled Mobility Electronics Dock and KDS Notebook Solution to be Distributed Through Ingram Micro

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mobility Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOBE) , a leading provider of innovative portable computing solutions for the mobile computer user, today announced an agreement to bundle its EasiDock 1000EV docking product with KDS' Valiant Series 681 notebook. The agreement provides for Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) , the largest global wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain management services, to distribute the bundle worldwide through its operations in the United States.

The package provides today's "Road Warriors" with everything they need -- the Valiant 681 combines performance and portability to provide a convenient solution when on the road, while the EasiDock 1000EV utilizes Mobility Electronics' high-speed Split Bridge technology to provide a high-performance connection with up to eight peripherals, transforming the 681 into a viable desktop solution when in the office.

"Partnering with top-tier laptop manufacturers like KDS is an important part of our business plan for the EasiDock products," said Don Johnson, COO of Mobility Electronics. "Having Ingram Micro as the distributor means our bundled solution will reach a broad audience of mobile computing customers."

The KDS Valiant 681 packs power, performance and portability into a stylish yet very affordable design, providing mobile workers with the tools they need to succeed. KDS does not offer a proprietary docking solution, so the EasiDock 1000EV provides a perfect companion product for those wishing to leverage the benefits of a port replicator. Furthermore, because the EasiDock 1000EV offers forward compatibility with future hardware and software platforms, users will not need to replace their docking stations when purchasing new portable computers.
