Ingram Micro's Telecom Integration Division Showcases CTI Solutions At Computer Telephony Expo

Ingram Micro Booth Demonstrates Comprehensive CTI Solutions To Resellers

LOS ANGELES, March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading wholesale distributor of technology products and services, today announced that its Telecom Integration Division will have a booth at CT Expo showcasing eight computer telephony integration (CTI) solutions for resellers. The show will be held in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center March 3-5. Ingram Micro is in Booth 1558.

The company also will host a reception at the Regal Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on March 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. At the reception, Jerre L. Stead, Ingram Micro's chairman and CEO, will discuss the company's role in the distribution of computer telephony products.

Each solution presented in Ingram Micro's booth demonstrates various aspects of CTI to help resellers begin to offer a complete CTI solution to their end user customers. The following solutions will be featured:

  -- PC-based phone systems
  -- Remote-access and fax server
  -- Call control with unified messaging
  -- Call center application
  -- Desktop video conferencing
  -- Internet telephony
  -- Lucent Technologies' NetCare Services

Our booth will exhibit a variety of solutions that our customers can use to take the first steps to offering a complete CTI solution, where they can service their current customer base and expand their expertise to new customers."

Ingram Micro's CTI consortium members, including Telecommunications Concepts, Inc.; Data Voice Inc.; Standard Tel; Digital Technologies and Vitec. Inc. will be present. The consortium is dedicated to the development of a national network of resellers committed to providing complete end-to-end solutions for a variety of end users.

Each of these manufacturers offer products that are part of the CTI solutions Ingram Micro will be showcasing.

Ingram Micro, IBM CTI Bundles

Ingram Micro also has partnered with IBM to offer complete CTI bundles in pre-tested configurations that include the necessary hardware and software to create a system. These bundles offer resellers complete CTI solutions in one box, for unified messaging, server-based telephony and Internet telephony. The participating partners are CallWare Technologies, Mitel MediaPath and Netphone.
