World's Largest Technology Distributor wins the most prestigious award at Cisco's Global Distribution Partner Meeting
SANTA ANA, Calif., April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor, today announced it won Cisco Systems' 2006 Worldwide Distributor of the Year award earlier this month at Cisco's Global Distribution Partner Meeting in Las Vegas, Nev. The Worldwide Distributor award recognizes Ingram Micro for its operational excellence, market growth and innovative programs in Asia Pacific, Europe and United States and Canada regions.
The award recognizes the success of Ingram Micro's Glacier and Distribution Managed Reseller Programs, its continued excellence in inventory management and services, and revenue growth generated in the SMB market. Foundational criteria for nomination included the distributor's ability to deliver incremental business and maximize profitability throughout the supply chain, accelerate time to market and/or deliver incremental growth within a strategic product, partner segment, or customer segment, and align with key Cisco strategies.
