Ingram Micro Selected as Veeam 2018 Authorized Education Center Partner of the Year for Americas

Recognition honors IT distributor’s ongoing commitment to providing Veeam channel partners with world-class skills and certification training

IRVINE, Calif., – April 23, 2019 Ingram Micro Inc. today announced it has been named Veeam® 2018 Authorized Education Center (VMAEC) Partner of the Year for Americas.

The award recognizes Ingram Micro’s achievements in training Veeam Americas channel partners over the past year and highlights the distributor’s success as a VMAEC over the past five years. Winners were chosen from a select group of Veeam training partners in recognition of achievements accomplished in 2018.

“Ingram Micro’s relationship with Veeam runs deep, enabling us to provide our business partners and their customers with exceptional service and expertise including the advanced skills and certification training they need to be successful selling and supporting Veeam solutions,” says Greg Richey, director, Professional & Training Services at Ingram Micro. “With this recognition, Ingram Micro Professional & Training Services continues to establish itself as a world-class leader in vendor authorized training, as well as organic training developed by our own technology experts. We are honored to be recognized by Veeam with the VMAEC Partner of the Year award for our continued efforts in education and training.”

As a Veeam Certified Training Provider, Ingram Micro offers foundational and advanced Veeam courses. These courses are technical deep-dives that provide extensive information on Veeam solutions to channel partners and technology professionals. Training is delivered via several formats, including lectures, hands-on approach and then experience in lab settings, to simulate real customer situations. Since becoming a Veeam Certified Training Provider, nearly 1,000 Ingram Micro business partners and their customers have completed courses.
“We are pleased to name Ingram Micro Education as the 2018 VMAEC Partner of the Year for the Americas, as they out-performed all other VMAECs in both total numbers and average class sizes,” says Kevin Rooney, vice president of Americas Channel at Veeam. “The Ingram Micro Education team is a valuable business partner, always ready to engage and support Veeam opportunities.  They have participated in our distribution-led enablement efforts, our Lighthouse program for enterprise customers, and extended various promotions to Veeam partners and customers throughout the year."

Ingram Micro Professional Services & Training offers solution providers with a roadmap to increased expertise and expanded core focus, plus the background needed to optimize solution deployments. This award from Veeam extends a steady series of recent accolades from both vendor partners and the channel media, including being named VMware’s Education Services North America Partner of the Year, ChannelCon’s Training Innovator of the Year and a three-year winning streak as ChannelPro Readers’ Choice Best Training Program Gold Winner.
