Ingram Micro Reaffirms First-Quarter Guidance

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor, today reaffirmed guidance for the first quarter (ending April 2, 2005) in advance of individual meetings with investors next week.

As previously reported on February 24, 2005, sales are expected to range from $7.0 billion to $7.2 billion, with net income ranging from $47 million to $50 million, or $0.28 to $0.30 per diluted share, based on 164 million shares outstanding. Net income and earnings guidance excludes any reorganization costs, special items or integration expenses, which the company is unable to fully and reasonably estimate at this time.

"Despite pockets of increased competition and economic softness in specific markets, our sales guidance reflects historical seasonal norms, even when excluding the additional revenues from the acquisition of Tech Pacific."

The company plans to report financial results for the first quarter in late April 2005.
