Ingram Micro Posts Top Southern California Ranking on Fortune 500 List; Company Ranked No. 41 in FORTUNE 500 and in FORBES 500/Sales

SANTA ANA, Calif., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) , the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, has been ranked No. 41 on the business world's prestigious Fortune 500 list, the highest ranking by a Southern California company for revenue in 1999. The 1999 ranking marks the first year that the company has appeared among Fortune Magazine's top 50 U.S. companies and represents a 14-point jump over last year's ranking of 55.

Ingram Micro has also been ranked No. 41 on Forbes Magazine's Forbes 500 list for sales in 1999, a 9-spot increase from its 1998 position at No. 50 on that list.
