Ingram Micro Offers Partners All-in-One POS and AIDC Tecnology Bundles

Adds new stocking location for POS and AIDC Solutions

June 20, 2006 CARLSBAD, CALIF. Ingram Micro's Nimax Division, a top distributor of point-of-sale (POS), bar code, radio frequency identification (RFID), automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) and wireless hardware products, today announced a comprehensive lineup of new POS and AIDC technology solutions designed specifically for vertical markets.

Available now, these new technology bundles combine relevant products from leading Nimax and Ingram Micro manufacturers and make it easier for resellers to offer complete solutions to key vertical markets such as retail, manufacturing and healthcare. These solution bundles include products from several manufacturers including Cisco, IBM, HP, Symbol and Zebra.

"Typically, resellers would have to buy specialty data capture products from one source, and purchase related mainstream technologies from another," says John Soumbasakis, vice president and general manager, Nimax division. "By partnering with Ingram Micro, resellers can simplify their sales cycle and increase margin potential by purchasing a complete, end-to-end POS or AIDC solution under one stock-keeping unit. It's now that easy."

Comprised of several complementary technologies, Ingram Micro's new POS and AIDC bundles are categorized based on the needs of particular verticals. For example, one of the healthcare POS solutions features a desktop label printer, service warranty, wristband barcode media, barcode scanner, label design software, wireless access points, server and a touch screen monitor. Bundles are available for the following vertical markets:

o	Accounting
o	Field Services and Logistics
o	Healthcare
o	Manufacturing
o	Specialty Retail
o	Restaurants
o	Transportation
o	Warehousing

In addition to offering these all-in-one bundles, Ingram Micro is introducing a new stocking location for select POS and AIDC products. The Carol Stream facility, located just outside of Chicago, is the third Ingram Micro U.S. location to carry specialty products and traditional IT products (others include Millington, Tenn., and Mira Loma, Calif.).

"The Carol Stream facility provides more local inventory for our solution provider partners in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada," said Soumbasakis. "Similar to other Nimax stocking locations, the Carol Stream facility also stocks complementary Ingram Micro products. This makes it easier and more cost-effective for our partners to source complete solutions for their end users."
