SANTA ANA, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Recognized for increasing market reach and generating demand for many of today's IT manufacturers, Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) today announced it was named North America Distributor of the Year by Computer Associates International Inc. (CA).

At a recent awards ceremony held at the CA World 2004 conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, Nev., Ingram Micro's North America region was recognized for successfully teaming with CA and once again contributing to the growth of CA's product market share revenues.

This award also recognized the commitment of both companies to help each other meet mutual strategic business goals such as increasing awareness and market reach of CA's BrightStor ARCServe Backup, eTrust Antivirus and AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler software.
