Ingram Micro Launches New Cloud Marketplace in Germany
Channel Partners Can Now Leverage Exclusive Automated Platform With Instant Access to Microsoft Office 365 and More

DORNACH, GERMANY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/15 -- As the demand and adoption of cloud-based services continues to accelerate among Europe's SME market, Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) today announced the availability of its latest Cloud Marketplace in Germany during the company's annual IM.TOP event in München. Now available in five European countries with anticipated market unveilings in Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy and Spain coming soon, the Cloud Marketplace continues to serve a growing roster of organizations looking to transform their businesses in the cloud.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions that enables channel partners to transform and grow their business by offering instant, online access to a wide array of innovative cloud solutions and services that cover all major business categories including: infrastructure, security, communication and collaboration, business applications and platform and cloud management services. As a single, automated platform, the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace delivers seamless and efficient management of the complete end-customer cloud subscription lifecycle.

Leading cloud vendors debuting on the Cloud Marketplace include Microsoft Office 365, Acronis and Nomadesk. Ingram Micro anticipates adding local and regional cloud services as well as other global vendor offerings, including IBM Cloud, Cisco Webex, and Intel Security, soon.

The market for public cloud-based services is showing robust growth in Germany. According to IDC, the total public cloud services end-user spend in Germany (excluding private cloud spend) is expected to hit EUR $4.65 billion in 2018, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) (2013-2018) of 27.3%. This is almost 15 times the growth predicted for the German IT services market over the same period.

"Ingram Micro is committed to delivering the finest solutions and best practices in the cloud," said Dr. Werner Grum, Director DACHH, Ingram Micro Cloud. "The Cloud Marketplace opens up new opportunities for our channel partners who can immediately leverage our automated platform to drive quicker time to market and stronger profitability. We intend to rapidly broaden our global footprint with cloud offerings from global players and create a local and regional ecosystem with cloud services to address growing market demand."

Ingram Micro is the first Microsoft partner to deliver Office 365 on a fully automated marketplace, helping to deliver the security, dependability and user productivity the SME market demands. Channel partners leveraging the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace can directly purchase, provision and offer unique Office 365 bundles, such as a suite of migration services from SkyKick or an around-the-clock Service Desk, while setting their own prices and billing periods. Through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, channel partners can immediately begin offering Office 365 to their customers, allowing them to achieve enhanced customer relations and cloud revenue stream.

"There has been increased recognition by German organizations that cloud can help drive improvements in efficiency, flexibility and agility, as well as drive down IT costs," says Margaret Adam, Program Director, European Channels & Alliances. "This is not only accelerating investment in new cloud services, but motivating increased spend on existing cloud investments as well. In this climate, the Cloud Marketplace provides a simple way for partners and their customers to easily migrate and scale their business in the cloud to support these innovation and productivity initiatives."

In addition to the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro announced new services and programs specifically designed to drive partner success. Available now, the new enablement resources include:

  • Cloud Ignite Services™: Ingram Micro realizes technology does not solve problems on its own, customer support is also key. Cloud Ignite Services assist channel partners with the data migration and on-boarding needs of their customers, as well as providing free customer service for all cloud services purchased on the Cloud Marketplace.

  • Cloud Elevate: To further enable marketplace success, Ingram Micro Cloud is announcing its premier loyalty program, Cloud Elevate. This new program delivers enablement services to help resellers expedite their cloud sales and profitability. Benefits include; education, sales and marketing support, and more, as partners move up in the program. New partners joining Cloud Elevate by August 15th will receive a credit of EUR 150, which can be used against Cloud Marketplace purchases within 90 days of joining the program.

"Our partnership with Ingram Micro helps us get the most out of our cloud investment," said Alexander Derksen, Account Manager, IT-Infrastructure Cloud of Konica Minolta IT Solutions GmbH. "The Cloud Marketplace empowers our business to identify and exploit new opportunities opening up in this fast-paced cloud market landscape."
