Ingram Micro Introduces Cloud Marketplace in New Zealand

Cloud Marketplace Offers Market’s First Access to Microsoft Office 365 via Automated Platform

July 7, 2015 – Auckland, New Zealand – Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) today announced its continued expansion of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace with its debut in New Zealand. Among its broad and growing portfolio of cloud solution offerings, Ingram Micro’s Cloud Marketplace delivers to the region the first automated Cloud Marketplace and cloud services platform with access to Microsoft Office 365 and migration services. New Zealand marks the tenth country to go live with Ingram Micro’s Cloud Marketplace.

Demand for cloud-based services is growing exponentially in New Zealand. Within the cloud services market, IDC estimates that New Zealand adoption of public cloud will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27.5%.*

“As the demand for cloud technologies continues to grow, channel partners must be able to support the evolving hybrid cloud strategies of today’s businesses,” said Richard Duggan, executive director, Ingram Micro Cloud APAC. “The Cloud Marketplace enables channel partners to quickly scale as they expand their cloud footprint and overall profitability.”

Through the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro is the first master cloud service provider (mCSP) to offer Microsoft Office 365 on an automated platform. Channel partners are now able to directly purchase, provision, price and invoice unique Office 365 bundles from a single, online dashboard. The offering is backed by an integrated suite of migration services from SkyKick, and also delivers consolidated billing, providing partners and their customers with an easier way to manage their subscription costs.

“New Zealand SMB’s have become increasingly aware of both the efficiency and transformative nature of the cloud,” said Darren Bibby, Program Vice President, Worldwide Channels and Alliances Research at IDC. “The availability of the Cloud Marketplace in New Zealand provides a real opportunity for channel partners looking to help their customers realize the true potential of the cloud.”

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions that enables channel partners to transform and grow their business by offering instant, online access to a wide array of innovative cloud solutions and services. As a single, automated platform, the Cloud Marketplace delivers seamless and efficient management of the complete end-customer cloud subscription lifecycle.

In addition to the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro offers a suite of cloud services and programs designed to further drive channel partner success:

  • Cloud Ignite Services™: Ingram Micro realizes technology does not solve problems on its own, customer support is also key. Cloud Ignite Services are available to assist channel partners with the data migration and on-boarding needs of their customers, as well as providing free customer service for all cloud services purchased on the Cloud Marketplace.
  • Ingram Micro Service Desk – Leveraging Ingram Micro’s proven customer service capabilities, the Ingram Micro Service Desk is a fee-based, quality-driven service which partners can resell to their customers and bundle with other offerings. The Ingram Micro Service Desk offers a 24/7 multilingual team that provides level 1 support for front office, desktop and many IT-related issues via phone, chat and email.
  • Cloud Elevate: Ingram Micro’s premier loyalty program, Cloud Elevate delivers rewards and enablement services including exclusive promotions, discounts, education and sales and marketing support to help resellers accelerate their cloud profitability. New partners joining Cloud Elevate by August 31st will receive a credit of $100 (NZD), which can be used for any Microsoft cloud solution within 90 days of joining the program.
