Ingram Micro Honored for Leadership in Charitable Giving, Workplace Culture and Technological Innovation

Buffalo's Premier Technology Association Raises Profile of Ingram Micro's Williamsville Employees and Commitment to the Community

WILLIAMSVILLE, New York, March 26, 2007 - In recognition of its leadership position in the technology industry and dedication to employees and charitable organizations, Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) was honored at the 7th Annual BETA (Buffalo/Niagara Emerging Technology Awards) event, held March 21 at the Buffalo Convention Center.

Sponsored by infoTech Niagara, the trade association of Western New York's information technology industry, the Buffalo/Niagara Emerging Technology awards seek to discover, honor and promote the efforts of local and regional organizations and individuals who are the innovators and advocates of new technologies and economic development through technology in Western New York.

Ingram Micro won the Excellence in Giving award, and was a finalist in the Cyberculture and Service Provider award categories.

The Excellence in Giving award was presented to Ingram Micro for its outstanding commitment to philanthropy in Western New York, including $140,000 raised by the Ingram Micro Williamsville office for 40 local organizations and $90,000 worth of direct giving to the United Way through paycheck deductions in 2006. In addition, Ingram Micro's Philanthropic Committee in Williamsville helped acquire 1,200 pairs of gloves and mittens for local schools and organizations and supported 30 families with food and clothes during the 2006 holiday season.

As a finalist for the Cyberculture and Service Provider awards, Ingram Micro was recognized for its success in cultivating a positive, productive and encouraging work environment, and for its commitment to using technology to secure its own success.
