Ingram Micro Honored as a Best Place to Work by Buffalo Business First

IT Distributor Named to List of Top Local Companies

BUFFALO, N.Y. – April 29, 2019Ingram Micro Inc. today announced it has been named one of the "Best Places to Work" by Buffalo Business First, a leading business newspaper serving the region. The company was recognized in the “Best Place to Work” Extra Large category for companies with 250+ employees and was presented with the honor during the 14th annual “Best Places to Work” luncheon held on April 12.

The 2019 winners were selected by Quantum Workplace using an employee engagement survey that measures six key engagement categories focusing on communication, employee needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamic and trust in leadership. To gather statistically sound results, companies must reach a minimum level of employee participation, based on total number of employees. More than 60 percent of Ingram Micro's

Buffalo-based associates participated in the voluntary survey.

Ingram Micro's Buffalo campus is considered the primary sales hub for the market leader’s U.S. sales force and customer support teams. Established in 1982, the Buffalo campus has more than 1,600 employees and is well known for its local philanthropy efforts, as well as training, diversity and career development initiatives. In 2018, Ingram Micro’s Buffalo-based employees raised approximately $860,000 for charitable organizations.

“We are honored to again be recognized by Buffalo Business First as a “Best Place to Work” in the Buffalo community,” said Susan O’Sullivan, vice president and executive champion at the Ingram Micro Buffalo campus. “At Ingram Micro, it’s all about our people and the partners we serve. We care for our employees, and we know they are our greatest asset in achieving excellence and getting business done.  The culture on the Ingram Micro Buffalo campus is high energy whether serving a business client, the community or one of our own. We could not be more proud of this recognition.”

Ingram Micro participates in the survey bi-annually and was previously recognized as a “Best Places to Work” recipient in 2017, 2015 and 2013. The 2019 "Best Places to Work" honorees are showcased in Buffalo Business First.
