IT Distributor Named to List of Top Local Companies
BUFFALO, N.Y. – April 29, 2019 — Ingram Micro Inc. today announced it has been named one of the "Best Places to Work" by Buffalo Business First, a leading business newspaper serving the region. The company was recognized in the “Best Place to Work” Extra Large category for companies with 250+ employees and was presented with the honor during the 14th annual “Best Places to Work” luncheon held on April 12.
The 2019 winners were selected by Quantum Workplace using an employee engagement survey that measures six key engagement categories focusing on communication, employee needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamic and trust in leadership. To gather statistically sound results, companies must reach a minimum level of employee participation, based on total number of employees. More than 60 percent of Ingram Micro's
Buffalo-based associates participated in the voluntary survey.
Ingram Micro's Buffalo campus is considered the primary sales hub for the market leader’s U.S. sales force and customer support teams. Established in 1982, the Buffalo campus has more than 1,600 employees and is well known for its local philanthropy efforts, as well as training, diversity and career development initiatives. In 2018, Ingram Micro’s Buffalo-based employees raised approximately $860,000 for charitable organizations.
