World's Largest Technology Distributor Acquires a Leading Network Security Products Training and Services Provider and Invests in a Leading Distributor of Network Security Products
SANTA ANA, Calif., March 19, 2007 - Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor, today announced its acquisition of VPN Dynamics, a network security products training and services provider, and its minority investment in Securematics, a network security products and solutions distributor. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
VPN Dynamics offers specialized network security education using vendor-authorized courseware and lab settings through online, on-site and classroom training. An authorized training provider for some of the most recognized names in network security business, VPN Dynamics offers a complementary suite of services and solutions for Ingram Micro's existing portfolio of vendor and solution provider partners, as well as greater expansion capabilities in this growing segment.
Securematics, a leading distributor of network security products in North America, provides its services to a large number of global system integrators, service providers and value-added resellers. It will continue to distribute the full suite of VPN Dynamics' training services. Ingram Micro's financial investment in Securematics will allow it to increase its visibility in the growing network security space.

As a result of these actions, VPN Dynamics will now operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc., while Securematics will continue to operate as an independent company. Both these companies are located in Santa Clara, Calif.
