Cloud Services Platform Provides First-Ever Access to Microsoft Office 365 via Automated Marketplace

Sydney, Australia – June 4, 2015. Today at the Ingram Micro Experience event in Sydney, Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) announced the availability of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in Australia, which brings to the region the first and only automated marketplace to include access to Microsoft Office 365 and migration services. With this announcement, the Cloud Marketplace now extends across eight countries worldwide, including its most recent unveiling in Belgium. Building on this momentum, the company will introduce yet another Cloud Marketplace in New Zealand in the coming weeks.

Demand for cloud-based services is growing exponentially: According to IDC, the total cloud services end-user spend in Australia (excluding Private Cloud Spend) is estimated to be A$3.5 billion in 2018, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.5% — about 8 times the growth rate of the overall IT services market in Australia*.

“Resellers in Australia are seeking a trusted source for a wide range of cloud services and solutions,” said Richard Duggan, executive director, Ingram Micro Cloud APAC. “The new Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace enables our resellers to lift their customers’ businesses to the cloud with confidence and ease while elevating their own profitability and footprint in the cloud.”

Through the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro is the first master cloud service provider (mCSP) to offer Microsoft Office 365 on an automated platform. Channel partners are now able to directly purchase, provision, price and invoice unique Office 365 bundles from a single, online dashboard. The offering is backed by an integrated suite of migration services from SkyKick, and also offers consolidated billing, providing partners and their customers with an easier way to manage their subscription costs.

“We are thrilled to be working with Ingram Micro to bring the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Programme to Australia through the Ingram Cloud Marketplace,” said Phil Goldie, Director of Partner Sales, Microsoft Australia. “Partners have been asking for better ways to be able to manage their Cloud subscriptions with their customers. The Microsoft CSP and Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace will bring a new level of service to the channel by offering great cloud services, delivered on the new Ingram Micro platform. Delivering Office 365, EMS and other complimentary services, means that our partners can truly deliver great solutions to their customers. “

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions that enables channel partners to transform and grow their business by offering instant, online access to a wide array of innovative cloud solutions and services. As a single, automated platform, the Cloud Marketplace delivers seamless and efficient management of the complete end-customer cloud subscription lifecycle.

In addition to the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro offers a suite of cloud services and programs designed to further drive Australian channel partner success:

  • Cloud Ignite Services™: Ingram Micro realizes technology does not solve problems on its own, customer support is also key. Cloud Ignite Services are available to assist channel partners with the data migration and on-boarding needs of their customers, as well as providing free customer service for all cloud services purchased on the Cloud Marketplace.
  • Ingram Micro Service Desk – Leveraging Ingram Micro’s proven customer service capabilities, the Ingram Micro Service Desk is a fee-based, quality-driven service which partners can resell to their customers and bundle with other offerings. The Ingram Micro Service Desk offers a 24/7/365 multilingual team that provides level 1 support for front office, desktop and many IT-related issues via phone, chat and email.

  • Cloud Elevate: To further enable marketplace success, Ingram Micro Cloud is announcing its premier loyalty program, Cloud Elevate. This new program delivers rewards and enablement services to help resellers accelerate their cloud sales and profitability. Benefits include; exclusive promotions, discounts, education, sales and marketing support, and more, as partners move up in the program. New partners joining Cloud Elevate by July 31st will receive a credit of $100 Australian dollars, which can be used for any Microsoft Cloud Solution within 90 days of joining the program.

“The Cloud Marketplace simplifies success in the cloud with its aggregated service offerings, streamlined solutions and 24/7 customer support,” said Haydn Tomlinson, Co-Founder and Director of IT Logic Pty Ltd. “By partnering with Ingram Micro and leveraging its Cloud Marketplace, we have been able to adopt cloud solutions with ease while driving our business towards greater efficiency and profitability.”

"Australian SMB decision makers are increasingly aware that utilization of cloud-based capabilities is absolutely critical to the success of their business overall,” said Darren Bibby, Program Vice President, Worldwide Channels and Alliances Research at IDC. “The availability of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in Australia will help level the playing field for channel partners looking to establish, grow and more effectively manage their cloud offerings to gain a competitive edge and enhance organizational agility. “

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is scheduled to launch in Sweden, Italy, Spain and Germany in Q2 2015, and will be followed by New Zealand in Q3 2015. To support business transactions across the globe, the Cloud Marketplace currently offers English, French, and Spanish language support, and is functional across multiple currencies including EUR, GBP and now the AUS dollar.
