Ingram Micro Appoints Eight-Year Veteran VP of Product Marketing

SANTA ANA, Calif., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) , the world's leading wholesale distributor of technology products and services, announced today that eight-year Ingram Micro veteran Lori Snow, 34, has been promoted to vice president, product marketing. She is based in Santa Ana, Calif. at the company's worldwide corporate headquarters.

Snow reports to Douglas R. Antone, senior vice president, Ingram Micro, and succeeds Amy Hoffman, who is leaving the company after nine years.

Snow will oversee the 150-person department that manages product marketing for the company's 1,400 technology vendors. The department markets software, hardware, Unix, peripherals, computer telephony and technical products, such as networking and Internet/intranet. Snow will also oversee national reseller marketing, an internal organization that works with resellers and vendors to develop marketing programs for resellers.

She has contributed to the success of Ingram Micro's marketing department through hard work and innovation. Snow last served as senior director, product marketing and general manager, Technical Products Division. During her tenure, she worked to secure distribution agreements with vendors, including Sun Microsystems, Cabletron and Cisco. Snow launched the product marketing of Ingram Micro vendors as they entered the two-tier distribution channel, including IBM in 1991 and Hewlett-Packard in 1992. In addition, she worked with sales personnel to develop the concept of vendor-specific sales champions to assist Ingram Micro telesales associates. Today there are over 130 champions.

Snow holds dual bachelor's degrees from California State University, Long Beach, in business/marketing and computer science.
