Ingram Micro Appoints Corporate Secretary and General Counsel

Larry C. Boyd Promoted to Permanent Position After Serving as Acting Secretary and General Counsel

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Larry C. Boyd has been promoted to senior vice president, secretary and general counsel for Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), effective immediately. Boyd has been serving as acting secretary and general counsel since Feb. 1, 2004, following the retirement of James E. Anderson, Jr. He reports to Kent B. Foster, chairman and chief executive officer.

In his new role, Boyd leads a team of legal professionals located on four continents. He manages all legal aspects of the global organization, from contract negotiations and labor issues to regulatory compliance and corporate disclosure requirements.

Boyd, 52, joined Ingram Micro in January 2000 as senior vice president, legal services, U.S. Previously, he was a partner with the national law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher for 15 years. He is a graduate of Stanford Law School and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University.

Boyd is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He is married with two children and lives near Ingram Micro's corporate headquarters in Orange County, Calif.
