Ingram Micro Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

J. Phillip Samper Retires; Kent B. Foster, Newly Appointed Ingram Micro CEO and President, Joins

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) , the world's largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, today announced the retirement of J. Phillip Samper, 65, from the company's board of directors. Samper joined Ingram Micro's board just prior to the company's IPO in October 1996 and has served on the executive committee and the human resources committee. As the newly appointed chief executive officer and president of Ingram Micro, Kent B. Foster, 56, will replace Samper on the board.
