Debuting at No. 35 on the list, IM-Logistics joins a roster of leading companies that are building business success through automation in 11 major industries. InfoWorld acknowledged the Ingram Micro division for the successful deployment of IM-First(TM), a proprietary technical fulfillment and logistics system that networks the company's entire distribution infrastructure. The deployment of IM-First represents the largest technology implementation in the company's history.

Designed by Ingram Micro, the logistics management system ensures the lowest cost structure and highest service-quality to IM-Logistics customers by enabling longer hours of operation and more efficient processing. Ingram Micro began deploying IM-First in February 2001, and by February 2002, all 3.5 million square feet of the company's five U.S. distribution centers will be running on the platform.
