Hansol Multitech Establishes Partnership with Ingram Micro

LA PALMA, Calif., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Hansol Multitech, one of the newest names in the US monitor market, hurdles another key milestone by signing an agreement with Ingram Micro for the immediate distribution of its full line of color monitors. This alliance will further Hansol's ability to reach its target market of resellers, VARS, and system integrators who serve Fortune 1000 companies and corporate accounts.

Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) , headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif., is the world's largest wholesale distributor of technology products and services with 1996 sales of $12 billion. Ingram Micro operates in 19 countries and distributes more than 36,000 products to over 100,000 resellers in 120 countries. The company employs more than 9,000 associates who offer resellers access to some of the industries leading hardware manufacturers. Ingram Micro also has specialized sales, marketing, and support programs designed to enhance resellers' effectiveness in the market.

"We are pleased to offer Hansol's complete line of high quality color monitors to our resellers," said Amy Hoffman, Vice President, Product Marketing for Ingram Micro. "With the high quality manufacturing and strong customer service, Hansol is a valuable addition to our monitor selection."

According to Kirby Lindsey, VP Sales and Marketing for Hansol, "This is a significant accomplishment toward our strategic goals of aligning Hansol with major national distributors. Ingram Micro is a leading product and service provider to our target market of corporate resellers. We at Hansol are looking forward to a successful partnership with Ingram Micro."

Hansol Multitech has joined the ranks of global brands and distances themselves from many competitors by designing and manufacturing their own high-quality color monitors. Hansol's first monitor offering was the top of the line 0.26mm 17-inch, 17PX model. According to James Karney in the January 1997 issue of Computer Shopper, "Hansol Multitech is a new name in the monitor game, but this Korean company's first offering has the capabilities of a seasoned veteran." The 17PX targets the demanding business user and supplies a full range of features. Hansol followed up with the release of the 15AX, 14PX, and 17AX models.

A11 Hansol monitors are both PC and Mac compatible, Windows plug-and-play, Energy Star compliant, and will be listed in Microsoft's summer release of Windows NT 5.0 as well as Windows 97. They feature black matrix CRT with anti static and AR coating, ultra-high resolutions and advanced menu controls. Hansol Multitech, Inc. is the US unit of Hansol Electronics, a diversified $4.0 billion manufacturer of digital communications equipment and computer peripherals headquartered in Korea. Offices of Hansol Multitech, Inc. are located at 6 Centerpointe Drive, Suite 220, La Palma, Calif. 90623, phone (888) 426-7651 or (714) 562-5151.
