Cofix and Ingram Micro Form Strategic Partnership to Link National Service Network Members with IT Service Calls

LOS GATOS, Calif., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Cofix, an online Information Technology (IT) services marketplace and provider of Web-based IT management solutions, today announced it has named Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) , the largest wholesale provider of technology products and services, as a leading strategic partner supplying IT services to Cofix's customers worldwide.

The agreement between the two companies enables Cofix's customers to choose any of more than 300 service-led IT resellers across the country who install, maintain, repair, or upgrade corporate IT assets through Ingram Micro's NSN Call Management Center. In 1999, the NSN dispatched, tracked and serviced more than 30,000 calls.

"Ingram Micro sees this partnership with Cofix as a chance to bring our NSN membership incredible opportunities to create and build new relationships in the small-to-midsize business marketplace," said Jeff Neumeister, senior director, National Service Network for Ingram Micro. "We look forward to working closely with Cofix to provide its customers with the highest level of service expertise."

"The NSN has a proven track record of quality in the area of IT service," said Max Seybold, Cofix chief executive officer. "As we continue to progress rapidly toward our goal of securing 500,000 customers by the end of this year, we are confident that Cofix will bring tremendous value to the business of NSN members."

Cofix Applications Match Customers, Service Providers in "Smart" Solution

Located at http://www.cofix.com/ , Cofix is a value-added Web portal focused on providing small and midsize businesses (SMB) with the information they need to make intelligent decisions regarding IT service contract purchases. Through the Cofix SmartMarketplace(TM), Cofix helps SMBs analyze their service needs and purchase flat-fee, packaged services or generate comprehensive requests for proposals, which are sent to service-providing partners. Because the entire process is handled electronically, both resellers and IT managers can more easily track service contracts and activities including purchase, use and renewal, employing Cofix as an unbiased resource.

Cofix customers register their hardware, software, and network assets using Cofix Power Tools, a Web-based suite of asset management tools. Once entered, customers receive instant notification regarding upgrades, maintenance and support for their specific IT infrastructure.

NSN has a superlative record for customer satisfaction as evidenced by the research of Service800, an independent customer service-rating agency. On a five-point scale, with one being the highest rating, the NSN organization consistently receives scores between one and 1.5.
