Ingram Micro’s Director of Emerging Business Group Recognized as One of CRN’s 100 People You Don’t Know But Should

With more than 55+ rising technology brands within its portfolio, Ingram Micro’s Emerging Business Group has helped channel partners net $5 billion+ in emerging technology sales over the past decade

Irvine, Calif., – Sept. 27, 2021 – Ingram Micro Inc. is excited to announce CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, named Don Scott, director of the industry leader’s Emerging Business Group, one of the IT channel’s 100 People You Don’t Know But Should for 2021. The annual list honors people working tirelessly behind the scenes to support their partners, their company, and the broader channel ecosystem.

Each year, CRN’s editorial team compiles the list to bring well-deserved attention to the best and brightest individuals who may not be as visible or well-known as some channel executives, but whose roles are just as important. The selections are based on feedback from leading solution providers and industry executives.

This year’s honoree Don Scott is being recognized for his leadership in bringing to market many of today’s top Tech Innovators and channel newcomers. With more than 55+ rising technology brands within its portfolio, Ingram Micro’s EBG is credited with helping channel partners net more than $5 billion in emerging technology sales over the last 10 years. Additionally, many of its vendors are reporting impressive year-over-year partner growth exceeding 100% and have been ranked among the industry’s “Most Innovative” and earned the title of “Channel Champs.”

“Don and his team’s reputation and results speak volumes to the value and business impact Ingram Micro brings to new, emerging and existing brands who want to tap into the power of the channel to generate more demand, expand their reach and grow their revenues,” said Eric Kohl, vice president of Cyber Security and Data Center, Ingram Micro. “The continued investments and business-building resources, tribal channel knowledge and specialized technical expertise found within Ingram Micro’s EBG team are substantial. Together with our vendors, we are giving our channel partners the people, processes and the playbook to introduce new technologies and services into their portfolio and ultimately their client’s ecosystems. Congratulations to Don and all this year’s honorees for their well-deserved recognition.”

“There are truly talented folks who make game-changing, creative, and strategic decisions every day behind the scenes,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “With the 100 People You Don’t Know But Should, we are excited to shine a light on this exceptional group and honor them for their remarkably important work on behalf of their partners and their contributions to the IT channel at large.”

The 100 People You Don’t Know But Should will be featured in the October issue of CRN Magazine and can be found online at www.crn.com/100people
